The mission of the Honoka’a High School Canoe Club is to educate our youth and the community at large about Hawaiian culture, values, and traditions and to promote competitive and recreational outrigger canoe paddling.
The Honoka’a High School Canoe Club is made up of a diverse group of students ranging in age from 14-18 years old and come from varied athletic backgrounds. Some are highly competitive, and others join for the exercise and the chance to meet new friends.
The club was formed in order to unite boys and girls who share an interest in perpetuating in Hawaiian Outrigger Canoe Racing at a competitive level. The club encourages and promotes good will and sportsmanship among members, joining provides an opportunity for students to participate in healthy and coordinated program of physical fitness.
